Hi there
I’m recording to the SQDrive on an SQ6 (using the latest v1.6 firmware) and everything seems fine, and sounds fine too, BUT I am seeing an odd duplication of input channels in the Multitrack window and I can’t understand why its happening!
See short clip: https://youtu.be/LZB-eYp2-bo?si=5Fqs6g0zcmUJirKN
(Apologies for for the quality, I just wanted to test out the channels!)
Channels 17 & 18 (PC sound card) appear fine but they seems to create a duplicate to tracks 25 & 26.
Channels 13 & 14 (Bluetooth input) appear fine but they seems to create a duplicate to tracks 27 & 28.
The odd thing is I cannot find related mapping or audio at the faders to channels 25 thru 28. (On either the record Scene OR the Playback scene)
I’m pretty new to this board, so is there something I’m missing here?
As I say I can’t see that its causing a “problem” per se but then again…?!
Many thanks in Advance
Ed.
In principle, recording tracks 25-28 have nothing to do with your input channels 25-28 (and faders), as you can patch them however you like.
You probably recorded more tracks than you actually wanted when recording to USB.
So first take a look at the I/O patch to see whether and which outputs you might have accidentally patched to these 4 USB tracks for recording.
And one more thing:
Only patch the channels you really want to record. Otherwise, you might even record empty tracks.

Thanks for the response.
I’ll keep looking but are there any other possible sources of the issue you can think of, other than the IO patching? I’ve gone over these a few times now and just can’t find anything.
thanks
Ed.
The question is, how many tracks did you want to record?
I’m guessing 18, right?
And now check how many track files you got?
Here I’m guessing at least 28, is that right too?
Sounds about right.
I’ve been road testing a new high spec USB stick so right now am happy to have “spare” tracks generated.
Thx again.
Ed.
So you were able to solve your problem and now know that something was accidentally patched that filled tracks 25-28?
I’m just looking for possible solutions on how to track down these mystery audio feeds really.
I cannot seem to find anything that might be causing them, so I’m interested to know if as a new user I’m missing anything in my search.
thx
Ed.
If you only want to record the 18 tracks, only 18 tracks should be patched in the USB patch (dark backgrounds) and the rest from track 19 should be light (unpatched), as in the picture track 23.
If it is also dark from track 19, as in the picture up to 22, some outputs have been accidentally patched too many.
You have to remove all of these.
This! It still traps me sometimes. Only patch the tracks you need to record in I/O USB.
