I wanted to know if the plugins I bought on my console can be transferred to a new console. I have a SQ5 and I might buy a SQ6; I'd like to retrieve my purchased plugins.

That is not possible as they are bound to the SQ5’s “dna” number.
(The activation code was calculated to that single console only)
As Steine alluded to, the plugin licenses are hardcoded to whatever console they were activated on. There is no method to transfer the licenses to another console. Unfortunately you will have to purchase new licenses and activate them on the other console.

I agree. A&H say that you should see it as an upgrade to the specific console.
