Power up order and driver detection

I understand it is recommended to turn an audio interface on before the PC is powered on, but I’m pretty sure I used to ‘get away’ with turning on the SQ-5 after the PC had booted and have the driver be detected in my DAWs.

These days I can’t get the driver to show if I turn on the SQ-5 post boot. Am I imagining it, or is there people out there not having to reboot before they use their SQ driver?

it should be “Plug And Play”
depends on the settings of the OS and the DAW

You must be right. I think I messed with some device permissions in Windows 10 now I think about it. Finding it again is the hard part. I’ll keep looking, thanks

reinstalling the driver with a reboot in between could help
much luck
