Qu-16 vs AB168 Preamp Comparison

Sorry if this has already been answered. I was wondering if any of you have had experience with both the Qu-16 and AB168 Digital stage box to compare the preamps in both?

Last week I added a AB168 to my Qu-16 and I was surprised how much more headroom it appeared to have over the Qu-16 Preamps. It almost was so noticeable that I almost would say that I would prefer using the AB168 even when it wasn’t necessary. So That is my question, Have any of you Tested the local qu-16 preamps compared to the AB168 Preamps? Have you noticed a difference? IF so what was your mileage?

i think the reasen was that in the ab168 was extra hardware preamps.
in my tests i think that is the point to use the ab168 for not so loud dynamic mikes
we love that feature

I just have the qu-sb+ar0804 (but interrested in the ab168) and I found these 2 pdf … (1:from ab168 pdf / 2:from qu-sb pdf)
