when channel input is selected as local, “virtual” pot changes to red,
adjusting onboard gain control shows movement up to 60db.
input gain will increase BUT only up to +10db, then no actual increase in gain
ALSO there is no local phantom power supplied to channels
it almost seems like the gain is acting like a digital trim…
is there a setting somewhere to select/disable??
occurs ch 3-32 - LOCAL input only, when dsnake is selected i have full gain and phantom control
input channel 1 and 2 - local and dsnake working perfectly…
i have updated and rolled back and re-updated different Firmware versions - no difference
hard reset done
This sounds like a hardware issue unfortunately. Please contact your local distributor who will be able to verify this, you can find their details here: https://www.allen-heath.com/where-to-buy/
I have been in touch (via phone) with local distributors, they are uncertain as to cause/fix.
possibly a pc board issue.
of course no longer under warranty…
seems odd that it has 2 operational local headamps.
i think the channel board is a bank of 16?? maybe 8?
Desk is owned by venue, and at the moment a “permanent” install, dsnake for stage inputs.
I can get away with having only 2 locals, 1 for room mic, 1 for TTS.
