Is there any QU-PAC users who know how to change the input source of a channel from the analog inputs to USB from a Harddrive using QU-DRIVE?
On the QU16 there is a dedicated button that chooses USB input source.
I would like to be able to easily and quickly change from recording multitrack audio onto a hard drive to play back the recorded tracks.
What’s the quickest way of doing this?
Pick a channel.
Hit the processing button.
Hit Fn button (source)
Select All (on screen)
Hit usb
Make sure global usb source is qu -drive.
(Touch to cycle between qu drive and usb b streaming)
Very handy!
Thanks for the quick reply. Is there an easier way to do this? Is it possible to assign this to a soft key and literally press the soft key to switch between usb?
I’m not sure if it can be accessed by a soft key Dickie, I’ll have to check.
In fairness, this probably takes less than 10 seconds to do from the front panel.
The description takes a lot longer than the action!!
Just tried it and yes it’s pretty quick. Would still quite like to be able to assign this to a soft key if possible as I will be using the QU-PAC for location recording’s aswell as live PA.
Just spoken to someone at Tech Support and he suggested saving two scenes and assigning them to the soft keys. That way you press one button for recording and one for playback.
Sometimes the answer is just too obvious!
Why didn’t I think of that?
Yes I knew that you could store scenes with different input sources and keep all the channels safe but didn’t think of it either!
Loving how configurable the QU-PAC is!
Do you lose preamp settings?
No if you make everything safe only the input source changes.
