This one has me pretty baffled. Our old iPad mini starts up the Qu-Pad app just fine but everytime I go to select a channel it does an immediate exit from the app. This does occur even in Demo mode. It happens on the Qu-32 located in our venue as well as on my home Qu-PAC. The Qu-32 and PAC are both running ver. 1.97 and the iPad is a 6th generation with iOS 17.7.3 and the app is ver 1.93. Any thoughts out there? The iPad is now a bit old and will no longer update the iOS.
This is not (even an attempt to) a solution for you but I sometimes have that going on while turning on a graphic eq. Luckily I can work around it by using the reset button that also switches on the eq.
Funny thing is that my 10 year old iPad mini has less of those issues than my 7-8 year old iPad Pro’s 10,5 which run the latest OS
It just keeps getting stranger as I investigate. If I press and change a channel fader it works fine. If I simply press a fader to select a channel the app dies immediately. I can’t select an FX, Group or Mix without it killing the app as well. Selection on the left side of the screen such as LR, PEQ, GEQ and so on work as always. I even tried removing the iPad from the case we keep it I just to ensure that a button wasn’t being depressed or some other oddity going on.
I would love to try reloading the app but the iPad doesn’t d]belong to me and I do not want to sign it on to my iTunes, etc. if this persists I will get the venue owners to try resetting the iPad completely and reload the app.
