It’s been mentioned in the InfoComm thread that V1.5 firmware is running on all the QU mixers at InfoComm. Does anyone have any information on when V1.5 will be available to the rest of us?
I asked my dealer rep last night and he said he thought it was available now but they have yet to put it up.
I think it comes with the InfoComm and the Qu-32 Mixer. Maybe they need a little bit more time to make the changes für the Qu-32 .
Am hearing now sometime next week.

The Qu-32 is a very god news for all Qu-Users, because now we have a big product range in this model: More Users, more Support - and probably more functions. Looking forward new firmware versions.
V1.5 for what I saw included:
DCA Groups (4 assignable DCA’s for the QU-16 and 24)
Channel Naming (Follows IPad and iPad Follows names)
Support for new AB168 box
Assignable output patching (when using a DSnake Box) you can route signal to any output!
USB recording source selection
Midi Machine control (transport control)
DAW Bank Control from soft keys (will be great for the QU16 guys)

We plan to release V1.5 beginning of July. The final feature list and Release Notes will be published at release as usual, but I have to say the list posted above is pretty accurate! Please be patient for a couple of weeks and you’ll get all details.

I doubt that the Qu16 and Qu24 will have DCAs since there isn’t any room for them, unless A&H creates another layer beyond the custom layer, If they did, they would be drifting away from the real beauty of this console and that is the fact that they have virtually eliminating the need to constantly switch between layer’s like I have to do when I mix on the GLD. Yes the GLD has tons more features, but mixing music for a live concert is so much more musical and has far greater “flow” to mixing and getting to things lightening fast,twelve faders on the GLD80 compared to 24. 
I’m just speculating though

they could add DCAs for the QU16 - as long as there is a way to assign them to the custom layer they don’t need a dedicated slot on one of the main layers.
Alternatively they could allow any channel fader (or group fader) to be a DCA master…
Hopefully we won’t need to speculate for much longer!
Spero abbiano introdotto anche un’applicazione per iphone,ipad per controllare le aux,tutti gli altri mixer lo hanno da presonus,mackie,soundcraft e behringer, per me e’ una cosa molto importante,altrimenti saro’ tentato di sostituire mixer.
È ancora un grande mixer iPad extra di controllo o non:)
