Hi, is it possible to restrict users of qu you to their own monitor group so that they have no access to any of the other groups?
Hi Will,
on the QuYou App there is a lock icon, next to “Mix Select”
tapping the lock icon repeatedly seems to do absolutely nothing except it
changes the lock Icon status to locked, unlocked, locked, unlocked,…
Tapping “Mix Select” brings up another window that allows the user to choose any of the mixes.
Directly under the last mix (Mix 9-10) is a slide switch named “LOCK MIX” turning on this feature
prevents a user from accidentally choosing a different mix. If they want to mess with another musician’s mix
all they have to do is turn off “LOCK MIX” then they can choose whoever they want to mess with.
This “locking” behavior all seems incredibly pointless if it can not be locked with a password from the person
who is “in charge” of the system.
basically the locking and unlocking is based on an honor system.
It’s useful because it prevents accidental switching, that’s all it’s designed to do…
“If they want to mess with another musician’s mix all they have to do is turn off “LOCK MIX” then they can choose whoever they want to mess with.”
Do you work with people who do that? Sounds like the problem’s not with the technology…
Oh, and the padlock icon is the rotation lock IIRC.
there is no authentication for any of the connections - the authentication is provided by the network…
Mark, NO, I do not work with anyone that would mess with another person’s mix.
What is a rotation lock IIRC?
stop the phone switching between portrait/landscape
auto rotation lock, OH MY WORD,
and here I thought it was trying to lock something in the app.
DOH!!! Thanks Bob,
