Hi. Is there any hints or suggestions out there that Qu16 may be replaced / new model anytime soon or in the near future ?

hints by who?
certainly some folks are suggesting it.
Others think it is getting old and needs a replacement.
Hint by who ? Anybody in general really.
The only reason I ask is I have been thinking of changing my Qu16 and thought for a minute, do I go ahead and buy Sq5 or hold off for a bit to see if there is something else in the pipeline !

nobody who really knows is hinting
maybe the SQs are going to be superceded with new models soon
buy what you need and dont worry about what might happen
and if you dont need it then wait as maybe something better cheaper faster will be released
Ok. My Qu is doing just fine. I just liked a few extra features that Sq has !
Maybe I’ll hold off a little while !

It comes down to need versus want.
Perhaps constrained by cost of operating a device as well as your total budget for everything.
I understand. Only thing is, I have an immaculate Qu16 to trade / sell so it wouldn’t cost the earth to upgrade !
the SQ is a very good console
it offers much more possibilities and sounds excellent
don’t forget to calculate with the DEEP plugins
the compressors are very good
Even without the DEEP plugins the SQ is a very full featured mixer, right now the Tube Stage Preamp is free!!
Not a replacement for a QU but a couple steps up the ladder, that’s not saying the QU is bad by any means.
I will say the mix app for the QU I feel has better functionality than the SQ app. The SQ app feels more like the early versions of the QU app.

You know your budget better than I do.
Have you priced the Qu on the used market to get a realistic value?
Have you checked to see if you have GAS?
If I had a Qu16 that does what I need I would not consider getting anything else.
Now if the device could not do things that I truly needed then I might consider it.

Sometimes you have to give GAS a day or two and it will pass on it’s own other times
the cure can be an expensive “doctor” bill.
