Qu32 jittery level sliders on stereo pair

I have a set of dedicated level sliders that we’ve linked to control a stereo input from a computer. Randomly 3 weeks ago, when one slider is moved upward to about the 1/3 height position, the other will begin to jitter/shake and ultimately will erratically jump to a higher or lower volume level. When moving the second channel, the same happens to the first.

I have updated the firmware and recalibrated the sliders, all to no avail.

I’ve seen similar behavior in a video on YouTube, but have not seen any recommendation as to a solution.

This is likely to be a hardware related issue with the faders themselves.
