QU32 No Sound, but level meters moving

HI all,

I’ve had a QU32 for about 20 months now, never gigged, just used at home in a studio. To get the the point, I can’t get any sound out of the QU32 at the moment, even though the level meters are moving when audio is present in the channels.

I then noticed that when the channels weren’t having audio sent to them, they were still registering audio, strangely often peaking on a left or right channel but rarely both on the master bus.

I tried I hard reset, in fact about 10 and then for a while after unplugging everything overnight, and also disconnecting the unit from the mains. For a time I had audio coming through as expected, but the ST3 return was exhibiting a strange hum which was unusual.

Today I tried again thinking I was making progress and that the issue might be related to what was plugged into the ST3 return, so I unplugged that gear completely. However to my surprise I was back to square one with audio being input into the unit not audible via the headphones socket.

I then tried a firmware re-install. No luck, still the same issue.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue, and if so what did you do to fix it?

The only thing I could find online was that it might be related to the power supply, which I understand is internal to the unit. Is it possible this is the cause?

Thanks.

If I imagine the power is distributed to several independent but related (obviously) circuits on/in the board and one or more has problems that could explain your issues I guess… Maybe you can crack it open and reseat all the multipin connectors you can find ?

Good luck !
