Ran Out Of Pk Layers On Avantis Solo

Hi everyone,

I use the avantis solo and quickly run out of layers, A-E are mostly full sometimes. I’ve read online that there is a way to extend the amount of layers by creating a scene and recalling it with a soft button. I’m confused on how to build the scene, that wouldn’t affect the live mix and preserve the everchanging adjustments (not being overriden). I’m sure it’s something to do with filters, but I don’t understand what to keep active and what exactly to recall. The scene recall with a soft button seems to be the easy part.

Anyone do this before and is this the best way to get more layers on the solo?

Thank you!

You need to block all parameters from recall except the layer assignment.

You the best SteffenR! Trying it out tonight!

In addition to this solution, you can also use the DCA and the DCA spill function.
It’s not obligatory to place the channels on a layer to put them in a DCA (using the menu, you can directly assign the channels you want).
By placing the DCA on a layer, when the Spill function is activated, press the “mix” button and the channels contained in it will be displayed (on several layers if necessary).
