Recall Action by level metering

Level meter based recalling and toggling Actions would help automating panic button scenarios.

With external plug-in servers, adding a sine wave generator to the plug-in rack, the signal would be routed to one of the console channels and if the signal was ever cut due to a crash or a cable failure, the Action would disengage the plug-in inserts.

Another use case for level based actions would be muting and locating a channel when the input level is at or near clipping. This kind of automation has proven very handy (on another manufacturers desk) in a setting with fully close mic’d symphony orchestra. When a single player suddenly feels a need to adjust their DPA microphone, the mute would be near instant and the muted channel would be shown on screen.

This kind of functionality would need a few new action types to be designed, mainly to address the need to duplicate multiple actions for muting and bookmarking single channels.
