Recording and "shutdown", loses recording..

A word of warning! When recording on the QU desks… make sure you actually stop the recording before shutting down. I recorded my entire gig last night and lost the lot because I only did “shutdown”, and I didn’t stop the recording first. When I say shutdown, I don’t mean I powered off, I mean I used the “shutdown” function… which I assumed would stop the recording aswell and shutdown gracefully, sync the disk, etc.

All I ended up with was 18 wav files 512 bytes in size, very upsetting to say the least.

Okay… egg on face here… it’s possible I did not actually start the recording properly. I hit record, but maybe didn’t hit “play”… It was all a bit of a rush.

I would delete my post but I can’t see an option to do that. Apologies…

I think you can recover the files . https://allen-heath.kayako.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/1126/201/why-do-my-qu-drive-recordings-appear-corrupt
