recording gaps dante on old vaio

hmm tested today stereo recording (main out) on dante to an old vaio,

yes it has only a 100mb lan, but it should handle one 24 bit stereo file,

the recording is fine (no clicks and so on) but has gaps every 10 secs,

absolutely clean gaps, like someone would quickly mute/unmute.

hints welcome

cheers

Perhaps check your ASIO buffer settings? Check no other PC programs or processes are trying to gain network/Internet access? Disable your wireless card? That’s my suggestions.

Have you got any other devices on the network? If so, try removing any other network devices (switches, access points) and just connect one short RJ45 between the laptop and the Dante Port.

Also try opening up Dante Controller, just to make sure you always have green ticks on your assignments. I highly doubt this would be your problem, but just worth checking.
