Routing external effects

Does anyone know if the following is possible?

Thanks in advance for any information.

I want to route external effects from outputs 1-6 and back into a regular input (1-18) and then into the main output.

Example:

Channel 1 IN > routed to Output 1 (separated from the main output!!!)
Output 1 > signal goes to EXTERNAL effects

  • Effect > goes back to one of the regular inputs (e.g., Channel 18)
  • Channel 18 rout to the main output as normal
This would give me the option of using all 6 outputs separately as monitor OR extern effects sends! to use the main output.
  • The CQ 18T has enough inputs to use some as a dedicated external effects chain and THEN route them to the main output.
  • The important thing here is that you can route each input to one or more of the six outputs without main output and / or ! it also being routed to the main output.

It’s possible ?

Thanks in advance

Yes, it is possible.

It’s even easy to set up. Send levels for the mains and each of the six outputs are set completely independently (presuming they’re in mono, or you can pair them if desired to have as many as four stereo outputs in total.)

So you’re good to go, exactly as you described.

The only thing you can’t do currently is send to the internal effects busses without also routing to the mains - unless you dedicate an FX unit as an insert on a single input channel.
