Routing Mixes to LR Qu16?

Is there any way to route the Mixes to mains?

There is always the analogue loophole - but I think that the groups on the larger desks can be used as mixes - not the other way around (although that might be interesting for various reasons)

I’ve seen that the larger consoles have designated subgroups and wonder why there isn’t an update to add a tab in the “Mix Selected-Routing” window. I’ve been using the analogue loophole but it eats up to many input but this adds noise floor.

Noise is not your problem, delay from mix processing and the additional DA/AD stage is. If you do not ensure that none of the signals contained in the mix reach LR (i.e. through a FX unit) you’ll convert your Qu into a multi-channel Flanger FX.

I would definitely avoid an extra DA/AD conversion but this is my only way to work around not having sub groups and not being able to route mixes to mains. I can definitely see it turning into a flanger if I was routing the original channels to the Mains as well.

I’d avoid the analogue loop as well, but for signal delay reasons, not noise. The noise floor is so low (although it’s always a compromise between headroom and noise floor) that it’s going to deal with an analogue loop.

Having a ‘mix as group’ ‘reverse’ option would be nice.
