I record live classical symphony orchestra concerts through an SQ5. The output goes into Nuendo Live 3 on a laptop, which shows me big meters (the meters on the SQ4 are too small for me).
I would also like to show the Main LR mix in the Nuendo meter display.
Is there a way I can route the Main LR mix (PAFL bus) to, say, Channel 17, while still hearing the LR signal at the headphone socket?

Sorry to say, this is basic patching. And it doesn’t change the signal in the headphones in any way.
If you patch it as follows, and the PAFL is selected on the Main LR, you should hear and see it.
If you actually only want to use channel 17 for metering, you would need to patch it as follows.
