Scene Save warning

Discovery made-
When working on Avantis from its raw state, when one saves a scene. It is not technically saved as there is not an initial show saved

Please create a pop up letting the user know there is no show to save the scene to.

You may be missing some fundamental concepts on Avantis/dLive:

  1. There is always an active show, whether you loaded one or not, it’s internal. It is stored automatically and flushed to persistent storage on shutdown. It restores on power up.

  2. The “active show” may be restored from a saved show, but there isn’t an active link. Any changes made are only stored in “active” until you explicitly save it as a named show. There isn’t any relationship between “active” and a stored show once it is loaded.

  3. A scene save is always full console state, less system (IP) and show (mix config/stereo config). What is recalled is subject to global, role (dLive), and scene recall filters - which can be modified any time after the save to add or remove what is recalled.

  4. There is an internal scene #65535 that represents the instantaneous console state. It is always “stored” to the “active” show and restores on boot (Avantis, Mixrack) to put the console back in the same state it was in when it powered down. It becomes a numbered scene when you save a scene.
