I have a question, it is possible to separate the L and R, instead of a mix of stereo L and R.
So I want it have 3 faders
1, Left
2, Right
3, Mono

Sure, three post fader auxes named LEFT, RIGHT and MONO.

1 X AR840
Would he be able to pan an input between 2/3 separate auxes?

Or he could use two mono matrix and send the stereo l/r to those, plus a mono aux for the sub.
