Side chain source selection from
any point processing point of the channel that is selected to side chain, right know it’s only one option - unprocessed input channel, the filter its the only option but its not enough.
In order to process sode chain signal for better results, more processing on it needed, Filters , EQ , compressor
Based on the fact that I’m using sidechained compression on channels that are feeding the sidechain of gates and that this works for me, I believe that you may be mistaken here.
The way I understand it is that the source is always post proccessing / pre-fade+mute
Try setting the key input of a gate to a different channel and the using the listen function on the key input. Then change the EQ of the other channel. You should hear changes

Double check before you post, the EQ and filters do not effect the side chain, that is fact.
And were is no possible way to make a choice whatever is it now.
Hey pal, double check yourself before you try to put someone down for offering you help.
While we’re at it, before you post, double check to make sure a feature request hasn’t already been made: Selectable Source Point for Gate Side Chain
@torsteinlunde very politely told you that you might be mistaken and gave you a specific method for verifying. No reason to be snarky.
Since you’re so confident you’re right, could you please point me to the spot in the firmware reference guide where it’s explicitly stated that side chains are tapped pre-processing?
My experience follows that of @torsteinlunde. See my other post: Input Channel Gate Sidechain Source Point?

It would be actually great to have it pre delay at least, so that a git DI fed into the git MIC gate would open that gate a bit earlier.
Is this not what block diagrams are for ?
Also, double check spelling prior to posting, please
Unfortunately, the processing diagram doesn’t offer any definitive answers: https://www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2025/03/CDM64U-Datasheet.pdf
