Title says it. My use is ducking. Should be able to set the sidechain input to any channel, or mix.
I would use this feature to “dim” effects while the vocal is prominent and raise the effects level after they have stopped singing. Sort of a way to ride the reverb tail automatically. Or have the vocal reverb tail diminished while a guitar was playing to clean up the mix a bit. When guitar stops the vocals will get wetter.
How about a kick drum modulating the guitars in a mix?
Yum.

We have done that in the studio world for years with tight compression on the verb send…Not at console but would have to see if that routing is possible. I wished there were some things like this available also like a graphic on the IEM/Wedge channel for room tuning in a control room situation…
sidechaining at least via a group would be helpfully to duck the “break”-music if you have an hyperactive announcer on your stage…
same as my previous speaker…
i wish to use a ducking-function to.
in my case i often just have to reduce the backroundmusik for some spaekers and nothing else to do.
- 1 for ducking effect ( but i think it is relative to the gate)
- 1 for creative use (using the kick to make the whole mix “pulse”).
