Sidechain Source Point from an Aux

I’m using an aux signal to be the side chain input for a ducker on an input. Got the connections working but occasionally want to inhibit/interrupt the signal to the side chain so the input won’t be ducked. Muting the Aux doesn’t affect the side chain input so I’m looking for the side chain signal source in the Aux. It’s not in the block diagram, or I’m missing it. From where in the Aux signal path is it derived?

I’m a little surprised that muting the source doesn’t also mute it at the side chain since mutes tend to be very early in the process chain (certainly before any audio is sent to other destinations like busses).

That being said, I think an easier solution is to simply turn the ducker “out/off” when you don’t want it to function. I don’t know if you can make this function work with a softkey or not, but that would be the most logical solution if you can.

Thanks! I was trying to use a mute button for this but I now see that I can assign the gate in/out function to a soft key which would do the trick. My other option was to patch the Aux out to a local socket and cable that back into spare local input, use that spare input as the side chain source, then mute the Aux with a mute button. Incestuous, I know, but another answer depending on how many mutes and soft keys I have to play with.
