Slate Mic to Dip Program?

Probably very simple but I can’t wrap my head around it yet.

The producer want his slates to dip the program (Main L/R) so that he can hear his slates over the din on the stage.

This is not using the T/B function which is being used for other duties. Slate mic is just another mic in the L/R mix.

Any thoughts on an easy elegant method of getting this done?

Sorted it out. Ducker-mode compressor on the Group Master keyed by the Slate Mic.

This should otherwise not affect the main L/R mix unless the Slate Mic is opened, correct?

For what your wanting to do the ducker mode will work.
I was going to suggest it but then I scrolled on down and saw your second post!!
