Now that I’ve had a chance to play with an SQ Rack, the workflow to set up channel processing for multiple channels on the unit itself is pretty painful - you have to drop back to the “faders” screen to select channels, then hop back to your processing or routing screen to make changes. This could be improved by allowing hotkeys to be given actions of “change selected channel to the previous channel strip on this layer” and “change selected channel to the next channel strip on this layer”.
With this change, the workflow now changes from “change to faders page, select new channel, change back to processing/routing” to “press softkey”. Makes a big difference when actually mixing on the touchscreen (and is something that other touchscreen mixers like the QSC Touchmix have).
