Some soft Button Wishes for SQ Mixpad

Hello,

from actual Use here are some personal feature suggestions for SQ Mixpad when it comes to the soft Buttons:

On some view situations, a Soft Buttons Functions are not visible at all or there are only button numbers visible. This is not user friendly in any way. Suggestion: add a way to label soft keys (like channel scribbles) at least in mix pad and display the label on any view the soft key is visible.

For recalling Scene Buttons the default Label should be (som shortage of) the scene name (_not_ the scene number only. For example, nobody knows intuitively what “Scene 75” is for, but everybody will have a spontaneous idea if it is labelled “silence” or “panic”)

On the Meters screen with custom layers, strips containing 4 soft buttons are shown but without any description at all and also they are mostly unfunctional. Only the color oft the Button may show some state information (for example with multitrack recording button). That is a mostly useless waste of screen space. Please either remove button-only strips from the meters view completely (and allow more meters instead) or make them touchable and displaying a label as mentioned before so the metering view can be used as a kind of “switch board” as well.

On the physical Desk and on SQ Mixpad it further would be nice if a “recall scene” button could be marked by some colour if it recalls the “current” scene (which the desk already must know as it displays its name on screen so that can’t be too hard to implement).

It would also be nice to be able to add “virtual” soft buttons on SQ Mixpad which do not represent one of the physical buttons on the desk but have similar or extended functionality. That could also be a key feature to be able to push a show on a smaller SQ Model with less soft buttons - just convert the unavailable ones to virtual ones (and with soft rotaries do the same).

And it would be nice if soft buttons could be added to custom layers more flexible - for example, by creating a single strip that combines several freely chosen soft buttons (and even more than 4 if there is space on screen for it, maybe with some vertical scrolling or automatic layout to more width if there isn’t)

Oh, and also it should be possible to add soft rotaries to custom layers in SQ Mixpad since there is actually no way to configure/use them from there. That includes the request to make soft rotaries configurable by mixpad so we can do that offline when preparing for the gig without having to connect the desk.
