Excellent feature suggestion list; I vote for all of them! In particular, number 6 as I have the soft rotaries assigned to the compressor parameters, but it only allows me to do so for one channel. It would be awesome if it controlled the same parameters of the compressor, but changed to the compressor on the selected channel when I switched selection instead of just controlling Input 1, for example, all the time. This makes the assignable rotaries extremely limited in their functionality. Again, great list, and I agree with all of them!

small supplement idea:
15: DCA Spill function (dLive, Midas M32/Pro series, Roland M series)
16: Assign key select function is DCA/MUTE groups
17. 1-2 vintage compressor simulation is DEEP processing (My favourite comp: Fairchild660 API2500)
18. PAFL active displayed in layer select key led yellow.

Features:

  • mono matrix (for example for Stereo top, moni sub configurations)

Workflow:

  • double press on processing opens Channel processung ( one press opens overview)

  • possibility to turn 48V/… on at multiples channels in the same time

+1 for the 48v bulk update screen

Also be good to have a user setting for disabling the need to ‘hold’ to activate 48v.

YES to RTA

A custom rotary to change the reverb time? I really would be so happy to have

high pass and low pass filter on matrix, aux out
More fx like in dlive
More color for channel screen
More details on a overwiew screen
Factory EQ presets for mic

And now we see why One RFE Per Post is the best approach.

Also: looking to see if anyone already requested that; made much easier by One RFE Per Post.

Biggest helpful feature would be RTA on the PEQ screens as others have mentioned. Why go to the RTA screen to find the troubling freq then quickly page back to the pew to adjust it?

Sorry Jedifyll but as an audio engineer my ears are my most valueable tool, so i train them and they will find the critical frequencies that i have to eq. I would like the feature as well, as it is truly very handy, but in my opinion there are some more helpful features that i am waiting on… especially the waves card to implement my server and all the plugs i got !

+1 +1

I must say that I was not happy to see no ducker available on this model, especially with the increase of live streaming…a ducked ambiance mic is essential.

I want the effect return to be able to narrow the width of the PAN.

there is a ducker mode in the compressor library

I don’t know if there was a discussion before, but I want the out phase inversion function.
If I want to use a JBL speaker that is out of phase by default with other speakers, I have to have a number of reverse adapters.
If you have a lot of circuits, I bring dLive.
I want to easily reverse the phase of the output with SQ.

+1,

As mentioned in another posting, these SQ consoles are priced much like that of the GLD and you have to buy the FX!
Next time, ditch the full inputs on the surface, people can buy a QU if they want no stage box.

Not on the desk itself, but I would love a PC software that gives me access to everything the touch screen has. I usually have limited tome on-site. I’d love to be able to leave the desk on and finish what I want to do from home.

if you want and need D-Live features— Buy a D-live! Some of us do not want or need to pay more money for un wanted bells and whistles: The SQ line offers basic entry level world class sonic processing. Until someone else can match the SQ’s unique price/value niche: leave it alone.
