SQ Qlab on multiple computers

Howdy folks,
I regularly use the MIDI over network to control Qlab for shows, and was wondering if it was possible to use it to control both a main and backup laptop at the same time. Has anyone had success trying this?
Thanks

The SQ can only have one TCP/IP MIDI connection at a time, so you wouldn’t be able to do this with two computers running the A&H MIDI Control app.
However, you could use a Bomebox for the mixer connection, then route using the Bomebox to two or more computers and any other devices via network/WiFi/5-pin.
Running software on either computer (or a separate one) then trying to pass on messages would also be possible, though not really redundant and less reliable that a box that’s built specifically for MIDI routing and translation.
You’ll also find that you can do a bunch of other stuff with a Bomebox that may be useful in your setup.
Cheers, Keith.

Ah yeah I thought as much from looking into the control app.
I’ll have to look into the Bomebox sounds like it could be a solution. Thanks Keith!
