I was once again going through your introduction stream (on YouTube) on the SQ rack. I heard you say that in the rack version there is only one fan to cool the system. I also noticed that the only (well, at least main) ventilation is on both sides of the unit.
I was wondering: will the airflow be sufficient if I build the system in a case? It looks like there is only a few millimetres of space between the mixer and the side of the case.
As per the getting started guide for the SQ-Rack, and printed on the unit itself, there’s the advice:
Make sure the ventilation slots are not obstructed and that there is adequate air movement around the equipment.
There is ventilation on either side of the unit, on the rear, and two ventilation openings on the bottom of the unit.
As long as the rear of the rack has ventilation then there should be no issues building the system into a case - just don’t obstruct the ventilation holes.
