Hi Guys

Picking up my new SQ 5 this Friday and I have a rolling rack the same as the one pictured on the A&H website and my questions is this, will the lid close on it once the desk is racked.

See attached photo - it looks too high to close to me

Hi Ronnie,

We have used this rack with the Qu-16, SQ-5 and C1500, and you are correct in your assumption - it is perfect for use in one space, for example in a conference centre or school, but not suitable for traveling with when mounting the SQ-5 or C1500, as the lid/body is quite shallow.

FYI - when rack mounted, the top of the SQ is approximately 140mm (5.5") above the rail.

Hello SQ -5 users, As for rolling racks, Elite Core Audio has a rack that was made for the Midas M32r and the SQ-5 should fit. I have the unit and the board however I don’t have the RK19 rack rails yet. I don’t think they have been released yet according to the US distributor. ETA on the Rk19’s Anyone… I heard end of January
