SQ5 - DT168 - ME-1

Hi guys,

this is my first post so please go easy!

I’m trying to setup a new system at my church and we have an SQ5 with a Dante card installed and a DT168. We also have a switch at the sound booth and one on stage.

We’re considering purchasing the ME-1 system…can we plug directly into the DT168 and daisy chain the other ME-1s or do we need to purchase the ME-U?

“No” we can’t connect it to the the DT168 or “no” we don’t need the ME-U?

u can’t connect it to the DT168 since it is a DANTE device
you can connect it to the SLink

Great thanks ? Can I plug directly into the SLink or will I need a switch in between the SQ5 and ME-1?

direct plugging is possible, if you need a switch make shure it is a 100MBit
POE is helpful as well,
so you only need one cable to every ME-1
but daisy chaining is not possible without the PSU

ME-U is a switch with POE and a audio network port
if no audio format conversation is needed you don’t need the ME-U
