SQ5 - No Shut down option after 1.6.0 upgrade

I am no longer seeing the a shut-down option on the touch screen when there are no faders selected and in “processing”. That used to bring up the menu that included “shutdown”.
If I just power off and turn back on, the option to shut down it there.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!

Yes - you can find it in the manual on page 12 ( see also picture).

Can you post a photograph of your screen with the missing shutdown option please. Someting seems strange…

Dave

I can do that, but it will be a few days.
Thanks!

I have the same issue. No shutdown screen comes up like v1.5 when no channel selected.
EDIT: OK. So after a hard shutoff and restart, the new function to get to Home Screen for shutoff is to “unselect” any lit button along the Processing to I/O switch bank.
Previously, in v1.5, it was unselect of the channel that got you there.

See my answer below, Otter. You have to unselect the Processing button (or any of the buttons along that bank) to get to Home Screen for shutoff. No longer the unselect of a channel to get there…

However, the shutdown recommendation from A&H in the manual (see post 2 in this topic), which already existed in 1.5, was at least not wrong. )

The training on our SQ7 using 1.5.x firmware I put together for our audio operators was to keep pressing the green “processing” button until the ‘home’ screen appeared.

I claimed that this would be a maximum of three (3) ‘pokes’…

Is this still the case for 1.6.x I wonder?

Hi all,
Pressing either of the green buttons (Processing/Routing) when in Bank view will take you to the home screen.

Deselecting a channel when on the Bank screen remains on the Bank screen.

This behaviour was changed because SQ-Rack has no dedicated channel select buttons - therefore remaining on the Bank screen when a channel is deselected makes more sense.

Cheers!

Yep! That is what is going on. All I needed to do was push the Processing button and the shutdown option appears. Thanks for all your help, guys!
