Is it possible to connect the S-link on my SQ5 to the GigaAce Card installed in my DM48 (or CDM48) and have full pre-amp control and processing on the SQ5?
Not at this time. The only DX box that currently works with the SQs is the DX168.
You can get audio that way, but preamps have to be controlled separately.

Hello! Since this topic is few years old I’d be interested to know, if anything has happened regarding this setup. Is it possible to use SQ5 with CDM48 (with GigaACE card) as a stagebox and have preamp control on the SQ5?
NO. CDM48 is a mixing desk by its own, with much more processing power than a single SQ has.
So why should anybody consider using the much better desk with the entry level desk as the master?
