SQ5 with MacOS 10.14

Hello everyone, I just bought an Allen & Heath SQ5. As a studio producer, I’ve only used the MBOX Pro 3 from AVID for a long time, and this is my first time with a digital mixer, so I believe I have a lot to learn.

My MacBook Pro is a 2013–2015 model, and I’m using macOS 10.14 because I can’t update to 10.15, as the older system doesn’t support 64-bit, which would render my studio equipment useless.

Before I start with my SQ5, does the new update (1.6) support macOS 10.14, or should I update the mixer to an older version?

I have an early 2015 MacBook Pro on OS 12.7 and it runs sq mixpad 1.6 well. You can download sq mixpad 1.6 and test it on your system. If it runs well you can update the sq5 to 1.6 without problems. The sq’s usb audio interface is class compliant so that will function anyhow.
