Stereo fader

can someone explain if it is possible to route 2 mono inputs to a single stereo fader (without ganging) ?

I think the only way to do it would be to have a stereo subgroup or DCA that you route the mono inputs to.

You’d still have to have the inputs on separate faders but you could bury them away on another layer

You can route them to a stereo group.then you have one fader.

Depends on what you will do with it. if its only level you can assign them to a DCA.

Why don’t you like ganging?

However, this is the most elegant solution:

If you gang you can put channels out of the way but you have to put it on the surface one way or another because the preamps can’t be ganged and you might need to change it.Different levels between synth sounds [ ], anyone?

I still don’t understand why gain cannot be gang. This is the only reason I must put both synth channels on the surface.

There are two ‘Stereo’ input channels available in GLD-80, you could use those for your keyboards: locate ch#45 or #47, select one and go to the preamp page, select the sockets where your keys (DI boxes?) are plugged in and apply. you now have one fader, one gain for two channels of synth. Park the fader wherever you need it on the surface,

(if you still need ‘stereo’ channels for iPhone, CD etc use ganging or DCA as suggested above).

please do not adjust your set; normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!
