Idea
The title is pretty self explanitory for what I’m wanting from the dLive as a new feature. Having a softkey/the ability to create an action that allows us to store the current Strip Assignment configuration in a library or an existing library would be amazing.
Example
You have a normal Strip Assign Configuration that you are using day to day. During an event, a new channel is needed to be a priority on your surface ready to acess under your fingers. Normally, we all set it up in the strip assign to have such channel (the new one) ready for you to use.
Now, you also already have a couple of strip assign library recall softkeys maybe to view all your Mix channels or your FX channels ect. on the surface (without them being tied to a DCA). Without this proposed feature you might recall the library via the softkey to view all your mix channels - which gets the job done. However, when you go back via the soft key (becuase its set to toggle mode) it will recall your old library without the new channel that you added a bit ago becuase you needed that front and center.
With this new function, we can set up an action where it saves our current Strip Assignement and then, it recalls the other library. Thus when we toggle back we will have the previous strip assignment.
Review
Overall, this should be a feature on the console already. It opens up a lot of new opertunities with how we can use the desk to our advantage without consuing important mixing reasources (such as DCAs) just to view strips. This function should both be inplimented into actions and softkeys so that, like the example I provided, we can store and recall sequentially.
