# Surface Not Passing Audio 2.02

Hey,
Ever since we updated our s7000 and DM48 to 2.02, most times upon startup, the surface will not pass any audio through itself, but the mixrack functions fine. No surface inputs show up and the headphone outputs don’t work. I’ve been able to fix it through rebooting but it’s starting to feel like every time we start the desk we have to try booting it up 2-3 times before it works. Thinking about just reverting to 2.00 (2.01 is pretty buggy from what I’ve read) and waiting for another update. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Have you tried Firmware 2.03? More bug fixes have been made.

Oh wow, somehow missed that one. Came out right after I pushed 2.02. I’ll test it out and see, thanks for the info.
