# Surface selected scene follows external recalls (scene options)

Is this feature supposed to select a scene that is recalled via midi? If so I don’t think I’ve ever seen it function properly. Has anyone had better luck?

It works for me at least. I use it every week. Are you connecting to your surface? You have to be connected to your surface for the UI to update properly.

Yeah I got it to work, thought I was targeting the surface at first, but I wasn’t. Fixed it.
