If we add the Talkback input to a key or group on the ME-1, the Talk button on the board does not control the mic on/off for the ME-1 user. Also, even with the Talkback mic assigned to a muted channel, the mic is always on because we have “Follow Mute” off for direct out. From what I have read, the only way to have the Talk switch control mic on/off for the ME-1 is to assign the Talkback input only to a mono Aux output, and add that mono Aux to a key or group on the ME-1. Ideally, the Talkback input would have an option to be routed to the direct out with Talk button control of the signal. Another idea would be to have independent direct out settings for each channel, instead of global. Any other solutions besides using up a mono Aux?
Use a switched mic.
