The tap delay is an almost indispensable feature to have–when it works properly.
I have a hard time getting an accurate tempo on my SQ-6. I don’t know if it’s a software or hardware problem, but the tempo is often set significantly slower than what I was tapping. While I can quickly get close to the desired tempo, it almost always requires further attempts, or manual adjustment with the rotary control.
A helpful change would be for the board to take the average of the last 4 taps for a new setting. (Obviously if the user tapped fewer than 4 times, the average of all the taps would be used.)
