Is there a way to only upload certain aspects of a show to a board?
A church I’m working with had an SQ5 in their old building and are moving to a new building that has an SQ6. Can they upload their inputs while leaving the SQ6’s output matrix intact, or does that all need to be done manually?
You can create a library entry for the input routing and transfer it to a USB drive. I don’t have a console in front of me to document the exact steps, but to create the library entry you will navigate to IO → Input tab then select the Library button.
To be on the safe side, be sure to save the current state of your SQ-6 in a show.
Then save the current state of your SQ-5 in a scene and copy it as a separate scene to a USB flash drive.
Use the global scene filters on your SQ-6 to block everything that shouldn’t be changed, such as your matrices.
Then copy the scene from the USB flash drive to the scene memory and recall it.
When everything is as desired, remove the blocking from the global filters you set and save the state of your SQ-6 as a new show.
