It’d be helpful if we could ‘un-assign’ a channel to the main out so that it doesn’t appear at the LR but could still be post fader to feed, say the reverb.
Is there presently a way to do this without using “Mixing Station”?
This seems to be the only thing I can find on it, suggesting that you can’t unassign from LR
Are you really sure something like this is possible with Mixing Station?
David Schumann has already conjured up a lot of magic, but according to the block diagram, such an option doesn’t currently exist, and even he can actually only implement what the hardware and firmware allow.
This would be a very useful feature as then channels could be unassigned from LR and sent to a postfade aux which could be used as a real subgroup by feeding it back into an unused input. This would be great for things like lav mics where more eq is needed than a standard channel can provide.
(obviously real subgroups would be better, but if that would mean the feature set goes outside the CQ limits, just being able to unassign from LR would be an acceptable workround)
