Understanding DCAs on CQ18

Hi -

Have had this about 2 weeks… first live gig last night went really great… Simple 4 pc set up, but sound was clearer and better than ever in a notoriously tricky room… YAY!

I had set up a DCA for the 4 drum mics.

  1. when looking at DCA fader, I guess there’s no signal to see there… just want to make sure that’s correct.
  2. If i raise fader on DCA, i should just hear all of the drums getting louder,right? That increase would be seen on the regular input faders?
  3. Will this fader control levels even if kick is only going to output 3 (for ex)… in other words, does the DCA fader control all of the output volumes (Main LR, Outputs 1-6) for the inputs in the DCA?
