I want to use an USB extender from the USB-B port to my computer.
What type of port is this? Is it USB 3.x or 2.x?
Would a device like USB Extender over Cat 5e/6, USB 2.0 - max 50m | MP2 Netwerkproducten work?

Hi Peter,
The USB ports on SQ are USB 2.0, however, I cannot advise on whether the above device will work as it has not been tested.
Thanks
Alex
Thanks Alex,
I will give it a try and report back after testing.
Regards,
Peter.
Yes I would like to know as well.
I have sucessfully used a 10 metre self powered USB lead
However that was on a QU
I have set everything up and the SQ was recognized and the driver loaded perfectly.
Then stumbled into problems… started Reaper added a track and selected the leadvocal channel… no signal.
Alas it was during rehearsal and I had no time to dive into it more.
I just checked the manual and I now see that I have to switch from SQDrive to USB-B in the routing section
I am gonna give that a try next Sunday but for now I do not see any reason why this won’t work… will report back again.
I have done some testing. It seems to work with limited number of channels.
When recording 16 channels I get stuttering recordings. This can also be a limitation of the laptop I use.
Next week I will test with a direct (short) USB cable.
If you are capturing on your PC
You should set Reaper latency to maximum!
And have all plugins within Reaper on your PC turned off.
So far not really a success
I will maybe switch to a seperate computer that I hook up directly to the USB-B and control it via Teamviewer.
Optimal solution (for me) would be if I was able to control the SQ-drive from Mixpad (https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/sq-drive-recording-via-mixpad).
