USB return channel?

Good evening everyone

My first post here, please bear with me, I am almost beginner :sweat_smile:

I am trying to connect an iPad through the camera kit to the USBB socket of the CQ 18, for Zoom conference purposes. Now my microphone and instruments go perfectly fine to the person on the other end of the line, but I cannot hear him. AI suggests to use an additional cable from the iPads headphone out to the stereo in of the CQ 18. That works of course, but I hardly can believe that AI keeps telling me that the CQ 18 picks USB input on channels 17/18 because it is hardwired that way, and that there is no possibility to change that, while my iPad sends on 1/2 ….

What? Would someone please explain? Or support will greatly be appreciated

How about a look in the manual?
Why do you trust the AI? It will never tell you that it is not knowing something.

I did read the manual indeed and I did set up the USB - and now that you urge me I read again and find that stream mode was set to multitrack. I assume that it is going to be the solution to set that to stereo …
