THANK YOU!!! That was the problem and now both sources play at the correct volume. I am only using my SQ-6 as my audio interface. So, I’m still figuring things out on this desk, as there are a lot of features (PAFL vrs. the omission of a real SOLO button) that I’m having to adjust to.
My routing is as follows:
ANALOG IN:
MIC/LINE in X 24
USB ROUTING:
IN: 1 – 32 > NUENDO INPUTS
IP DIRECT OUTS: 1 – 32 > NUENDO OUTPUTS
The Nuendo outputs come back into the SQ-6 channels 1 – 16 for ATMOS + STEREO OUT.
If I played from my Nuendo Scene, pre/post fader didn’t matter as I was controlling everything from Nuendo. But when I switched to Desktop audio (ie: YouTube or downloaded mp3s, etc.) and forgot to switch to my Desktop Scene which was specifically written for my stereo monitors, the surround monitors would blast me out of my seat! Now that it’s set post fader, this is the first time I’ve been able to play both sources on either set of monitors. Thank you so much! This is much appreciated!
