With two consoles linked via SLink, who controls the stagebox?

Hi - newbie here! Apologies if this has already been answered somewhere, but as many have observer, searching these forums isn’t exactly easy! :slight_smile:

In a scenario like:
SQ is doing monitors, and has additional SLink card;
Qu is doing FOH;
Inputs and Outputs (mons and mains) are via a Stagebox (AR2412 or cascade of DX168)

Inputs from Stagebox → SQ via SQ-SLink1
SQ Tielines → QU inputs via SQ-SLink2

1: In this setup, how are the stagebox input gains and phantom controlled? Can they be controlled from either console?
2: Inputs go from SQ to Qu via tielines, but what’s the best way to patch the Qu L-R main mix to the stagebox outputs?

Grateful for any wisdom…

1: They can only be controlled from the console to which the stage box is connected.

2: A&H says:

Thanks - that’s what I thought, but I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be fighting my FOH guy for control of input gains.
Now all we need to do is to find a way to propagate the channel labels from SQ to Qu, and we’ll be good to go. I don’t suppose that’s possible…?
I do think that the approach to strip labelling is oddly weak compared to most other aspects of the SQ, which are generally excellent. There’s no way to connect a proper keyboard AFAICS (though I have a bluetooth keyboard working on the iPad, which works), and there’s only six characters to play with for the labels.

But you probably know that with MixPad on your iPad you can also label your channels and do so more conveniently than would be possible with an additional keyboard.
