I purchased xb14 Allen and heath

today I was setupping radio internet station
I have afew questions about the functionality of xb14 and I tried to find answer to my questions from internet also pdf instruction of this device and I didn’t find my answer
Would you please help me in this regards step to step what should i do

first questions:

When I put my microphone in first line signal is good but when I add second microphone in second line I don’t have any signal related to the second microphone

second questions

When I put headphone and music played from My laptop I can not hear any sound from My headphone that is connected to the mixer

I do appreciated if you help me in these regards

You would do better asking a separate question not adding it at the end of an existing one.

Also you would do better asking in the others forum listed at top of the page instead of the Qu forum.

When I put my headphone and music played from My laptop I can not hear any sound from My headphone that is connected to the mixer
but i can hear my voice when im talking through microphhone but i can not here music from my headphone
also i read pdf manual regard this but i couldnt underestand it would you please help me how fix this step to step

this is my second questions

i connected microphone re20 to xb14 there is signal

but when i connected microphone at4040 audiotechnica there is no signal
also this microphone at4040 its working with my other mixer and its strange
would you please help me for fix this issue

Now to actually work on answering Jev’s questions.
First of all you are in the correct forum.

Most likly why your RE20 works and the 4040 does not
is that the phantom power switch is not turned on, it’s the small
recessed switch just to the left of the main level meters.
the 4040 is a condenser mic that requires phantom power to operate.

As for your lap top connection are you using the USB connection for the
audio input or just connected to the lap top’s headphone jack and
taking that cable to an input on the mixer?
