I miss my beloved 4D since I sold it about two years ago, so I’m thinking to go for another one as my actual Mixer (a Reloop RMX-60) doesn’t fully fills up my needs (and the sound is by far not so good as by a A&H mixer, of course).
I sold the mixer mainly because of the outdated drivers, since it was not working with my Mac anymore.
However, I have a NI Traktor Audio 10 soundcard, which has a built-in MIDI interface, and I remember that the 4D has a MIDI interface with the two IN/OUT ports on the back too, but I never used it.
So… I’m thinking about a connection via MIDI IN/OUT from the 4D to the Audio10, to get the MIDI commands sent by the 4D, on Traktor/Ableton, etc.
Here’s the question I have to those who still having this mixer:
Are the MIDI commands sent by the MIDI port too?
That would be the way to get this monster alive again.
